What we do

Source, maintain, recover and recycle - across the network lifecycle

DTC keeps networks supplied, supported and sustainable across their whole life. For almost 30 years we’ve sourced and supplied telecoms hardware, recovered value from surplus, and kept live networks running – backed by one of the largest independent secondary markets in the industry.

For mobile and fixed-line operators the pressure runs both ways: keep ageing networks alive while migrating to 5G and full fibre, without the cost and carbon mounting up. We supply refurbished spares to sustain the live network, provide the engineering to deploy and decommission, and run the sustainable reverse logistics that turns retired 2G, 3G and copper kit back into recovered value.

Component-level repair for RAN, transport and access

When a card or module fails, replacing it is rarely the only option. We refurbish, test and repair faulty RAN, transport and access equipment down to component level, including platforms the OEM has stopped supporting. It keeps assets in service for longer and avoids the cost of full replacement.

  • Baseband, RRUs and antennas – repair across the radio chain, not one layer
  • Warranty and test report – returned working, covered, with results
  • Loan units while you wait – hold capacity up during turnaround

100G and DWDM upgrades at a fraction of OEM cost

Adding capacity to the transport network is a major upgrade cost. We supply OEM-compatible optical transceivers and optics for 100G rollouts and DWDM and OTN transport, tested, coded to your vendor and warrantied. Operators use them to add capacity and modernise the backbone while keeping capex under control.

  • QSFP28, QSFP-DD and CFP – the form factors 100G and 400G builds need
  • Coded to your vendor – or recoded if you switch platform
  • MSA-compliant – tested to the same standard as the OEM part

Field engineering for install and decommissioning

Spares and repairs only help if someone can fit them. Our field teams handle installation, commissioning, swap-outs and full decommissioning, from individual cell sites to central-office and exchange clearances, across the UK and internationally, backed by almost 30 years of hands-on network experience.

  • Site surveys first – know what’s there before work starts
  • Reverse logistics built in – removed kit collected, tracked and recovered
  • Accredited, insured teams – ISO 45001, working at height and on live sites

Why choose DTC?

Why partner with DTC?

30+ years alongside operators

A long track record supporting mobile and fixed-line networks for carriers around the world.

Run and retire from one partner

Spares to keep the live network up, plus recovery and recycling for what you're decommissioning.

Recover value from end-of-life kit

2G, 3G and copper retirements are audited, remarketed and recycled, turning retired and surplus, end-of-life kit into recovered cash.

Evidence for net zero and Scope 3

Documented reuse and recycling you can put straight into your ESG and Scope 3 reporting.

More on how we help network operators

Lifecycle support for mobile and fixed-line operators

Operators face a saturated market and relentless pressure: cut cost, modernise to 5G and full fibre, and hit hardening ESG targets – all while keeping live networks running. DTC supports both the mobile and fixed-line sides across the whole asset lifecycle.

What we supply and support

  • RAN – baseband, RRUs, antennas and the radio chain
  • Transport – DWDM, OTN and 100G/400G optical
  • Access and core – routing, switching and aggregation
  • Optical transceivers – OEM-compatible, coded to your vendor
  • Field engineering – install, commissioning, swap-out and decommissioning

Keeping networks alive past end-of-service-life

When the OEM declares end-of-service-life, the network still has to run. We supply carrier-grade, tested and warrantied spares for legacy RAN, transport and access equipment, keeping 2G, 3G and copper services reliable until you are ready to switch them off.

2G/3G shutdown and copper-to-fibre: recovering the value

Decommissioning is where cost and value collide. We remove retired mobile sites and copper infrastructure, recover and remarket what still has worth, and recycle the rest responsibly – turning network rationalisation into recovered cash rather than a disposal bill.

Supported by network type

Mobile operators (MNOs) and fixed-line carriers run very different estates – RAN and RRUs versus transport, copper and central-office equipment. We support both, across the major vendors: Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, Ciena and more.

Net zero, Scope 3 and the circular network

The network is a major part of an operator’s carbon footprint. Reuse and certified recycling cut embodied carbon measurably, and our documented, audited processes give you the evidence for net-zero commitments and Scope 3 reporting.

Lower total cost of ownership

Across thousands of sites, refurbished spares, extended asset life and recovered value at decommissioning move total cost of ownership far more than the purchase price alone.

Component-level repair, not just replacement

A failed card rarely means the network needs new hardware. We refurbish, test and repair faulty RAN, transport and access equipment down to component level in our own workshop, including platforms the OEM has stopped supporting, and return it tested and warrantied. It keeps assets in service for longer and avoids OEM replacement pricing on kit that has years left in it.

Transport upgrades without OEM list prices

Adding capacity to the transport network does not have to mean the OEM’s optics pricing. We supply OEM-compatible transceivers for 100G and 400G rollouts and DWDM and OTN transport, coded to your vendor and warrantied, so you can scale the backbone at a fraction of the cost.

Compliance and accreditation

BSI ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, with WEEE-compliant recycling and certificated data destruction on any data-bearing equipment.

Industries we serve

Types of operator we serve

We've worked with network operators for almost 30 years - from mobile and fixed-line carriers to wholesale and private network builders. We know how these networks are built and run, because we've spent decades keeping them going.

Mobile network operators (MNOs)

We supply mobile network spares and take your old 2G and 3G when you switch it off.

Fixed-line operators and carriers

Spares for transport and copper networks. We also buy back the copper when you move to fibre.

Converged/integrated telcos

One supplier for the whole estate, mobile and fixed, from spares to decommissioning.

Wholesale and infrastructure operators

We supply at volume as you grow, and buy back what you no longer need.

Private and enterprise network operators

Affordable 4G and 5G kit to build and run a private or enterprise network.

MVNOs and sattelite operators

Spares, repair and recycling for the equipment you own.
