Engineering across the full network lifecycle
Specialist, multi-vendor engineering across the full network lifecycle, on site and on demand.
Survey, plan and deploy
Our engineers walk the facility before anything else, record the actual routing and vendor mix, and feed it into the traffic, capacity, migration and risk work that shapes the scope. When the plan is signed off, the same team delivers it, at any scale from a single site to a national programme.
- Site surveys and audits – physical and logical, before the scope gets pinned down
- Traffic analysis and capacity planning – sized against real load, not headroom estimates
- Risk assessment and migration planning – for cutover on live networks
- Staging and pre-configuration – kit built and tested before it reaches site
- Single site to national rollout – the same team scales to the job
Install, commission and configure
Our engineers stay on the platform through commissioning, testing every card, port and route against real traffic before sign-off, so the network is production-ready when we hand it over. Scope covers RAN, IP, DWDM, optical and copper across outside plant and customer-premises equipment, alongside coordinated parallel-run and cutover of legacy PSTN when it retires behind a new build.
- Access networks – copper and fibre, outside plant to CPE
- Next-generation core – multi-vendor across RAN, IP, DWDM and optical
- Pre-staging and full commissioning – tested and configured before it ships, again on site
- Legacy PSTN shutdown – parallel-run and cut-over as new platforms come up
- CPE projects – customer-premises install and turn-up at scale
- ISO 45001 for live-site work – safe working at height and on public infrastructure
Keeping your network running
Our engineers deliver moves, adds and changes on live networks without dropping service, cutting circuits and staging new kit alongside production traffic. When platforms come out for good, whether it’s an exchange, cell-site or datacentre clearance, removal, recovery, remarketing and WEEE-compliant recycling all sit under the same job, so the old estate returns residual value to your budget as part of the work.
- Moves, adds and changes – on live networks, with minimal service impact
- Operational maintenance – remote and field, contracted or ad-hoc
- Full decommissioning – exchange, cell-site and datacentre clearances
- Recovery built in – removed kit collected, tracked and remarketed
- WEEE and zero-to-landfill – responsible end-of-life on anything not resold
Independent advice from in-house engineers
Our consultants scope vendor decisions against the traffic, footprint and lifecycle you actually have, then stay engaged through training and knowledge transfer once the platform is chosen. Coverage spans the technologies our field team runs live, from legacy transport to next-generation IP, so your engineers walk away holding the kit we install.
- Vendor selection – independent, multi-vendor advice against real requirements
- Technology coverage – TDM, PDH, SDH/SONET, IP, DWDM, ATM, xDSL and MPLS
- Training and knowledge transfer – on the platforms we install and support
- Global scale – UK direct with field resource across Europe, MEA, North America and Asia
Why use DTC for technical services?
Free up your team
Your engineers are already loaded on business-as-usual. We take the specialist project work off their plate for the length of the engagement, so you get the outcome without inflating permanent headcount.
Fixed scope up front
Every engagement is scoped, priced and dated on day one. You buy a defined piece of work with a defined close date.
Every layer, every major OEM
One accountable team across RAN, IP, DWDM, optical, copper and outside-plant, spanning all the major OEMs. Nothing in the estate falls outside what we can support.
UK-led, globally deployable
UK direct, with field resource across Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia. Same accountable team whether the job is one site or a five-year rollout.
Clients we serve

Technical network services: frequently asked questions
What do your technical services cover?
Site survey and planning through to install, commission, live-network moves, and end-of-life decommissioning with recovery and recycling. Take the whole lifecycle or slot us in for a specific phase.
Which vendors and technologies do you support?
Multi-vendor across the major OEMs, including Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, ZTE, Ciena and Infinera, across RAN, IP, DWDM, optical transport and copper. Our team also carries deep legacy expertise, including TDM and SDH platforms still running in production.
Where and at what scale do you deliver?
UK direct, with field resource across Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia. Scope ranges from a one-day intervention on a single site through to multi-year, multi-site programmes, with the same accountable team on the job either way.
How do you work on live networks safely?
Every engineer on live-site work is ISO 45001 accredited, insured for working at height and on public infrastructure, and briefed against change-control before any physical work begins. Migration and cutover plans include full risk assessment and rollback, so live traffic stays protected throughout the job.
Do you support legacy PSTN and TDM shutdown?
Yes. Legacy PSTN retirement, TDM/SDH decommissioning and parallel-run alongside a next-generation core is a specific service line, so the old platform can come out as the new one comes up without stranding customers on either side.
