Expert telecoms network test & repair
DTC keeps networks supplied, supported and sustainable across their whole life. For almost 30 years we have sourced telecoms hardware, repaired and recovered it, and kept ageing networks running, backed by one of the largest independent secondary markets in the industry.
With our comprehensive refurbishment, test and repair service, we diagnose the actual fault, repair the unit down to component and board level, including platforms the OEM has stopped supporting, and test it against a working reference before it ships. It keeps assets in service for longer, avoids OEM replacement pricing, and cuts both cost and carbon.
Repairs down to component level
We diagnose the actual fault and repair it at component and board level, including on platforms that have gone EOSL. Kit that others write off as beyond economic repair comes back from DTC working and warrantied.
- Board and component level – we don’t just swap modules
- Discontinued platforms – kit the OEM no longer supports
- Warrantied on return – repaired to OEM standards, with a test report
Tested against a reference in our lab
We replicate the kit in a reference set-up, reproduce the fault, repair it, and test the unit under realistic conditions before it ships. You get back something that you know works in service, because it’s been tested and reported on.
- Fault reproduced first – we confirm the problem before we fix it
- Functional testing – run against a reference system
- ESD-safe throughout – intake, repair and test in a controlled environment
A fixed turnaround – or a straight swap
Downtime is the real cost of a fault, so we agree turnaround up front and keep you posted on the status of your faulty unit. When you cannot wait, we ship a working advance replacement from stock, and repair the faulty one when it comes back. On bulk returns we screen first – so you only pay to repair what is actually faulty.
- Advance replacement – a working unit shipped out immediately
- Screen and triage – bulk returns checked so you pay to fix only what has failed
- Proactive component replacement – swap parts known to fail, to cut repeat faults
Why choose DTC for refurbishment, test and repair?
A transparent, defined process
Every repair runs through the same workflow - intake, diagnosis, repair, test and QA - and you can see where your kit is in it.
Stated turnaround and SLAs
Turnaround is agreed up front, not open-ended, with advance replacement available when you cannot wait.
Certified, to OEM standards
Repaired and tested to manufacturer standards in an ESD-safe environment, and returned warrantied with a test report.
Repair-versus-replace advice
We will tell you when a unit is not worth repairing, rather than bill you for a repair that does not pay off.
Search the platforms we repair
We refurbish, test and repair the OEM platforms below. We are multi-vendor and the list keeps growing, so if you cannot see yours, ask us – we repair far more than we can show here, including discontinued kit.

Telecoms equipment refurbishment, test and repair
Replacing faulty hardware is rarely the cheapest or fastest way to fix a fault. DTC’s refurbishment, test and repair service keeps multi-vendor equipment in service for longer, diagnosing and repairing kit down to component level and returning it warrantied to manufacturer standards. Behind it sits almost 30 years of telecoms engineering and one of the largest independent secondary markets in the industry.
What we repair
We cover the platforms that carry live network traffic, new and legacy, including equipment the OEM has discontinued:
- Optical and transport – DWDM, OTN, SDH and PDH line and transport cards
- IP and access – routers, switches, aggregation and broadband access
- Radio – RAN, RRUs and microwave, across the radio chain
- Power – rectifiers, PSUs and DC power equipment
- Optical transceivers – tested and coded to your vendor
How a repair works
Every job runs through the same defined workflow: intake and audit, fault diagnosis against a reference set-up, component or board-level repair, functional testing under realistic conditions, and a final quality check before it ships. The repaired unit comes back with a test report and a warranty, and you can see where it is in the process throughout.
Added-value services
- Advance replacement – a working unit shipped from stock before the faulty one comes back, so the network stays up.
- Screen and triage – on bulk returns we identify which units are genuinely faulty, so you only pay to repair what has failed.
- Proactive component replacement – swapping parts known to fail over time, to cut repeat faults and truck rolls.
- Repair avoidance – re-certifying working units recovered from decommissioning, so a repair is not always needed at all.
Circular economy and carbon
Every repaired unit is one that does not have to be manufactured, so repair avoids embodied carbon as well as cost. It is the first step in a circular model – repair first, reuse second, recycle last – with a documented audit trail you can put straight into ESG reporting.
Compliance, accreditation and security
DTC operates under BSI ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, in an ESD-safe environment, with documented warranty terms and certificated data destruction on any data-bearing equipment.
Refurbishment, Test and Repair: frequently asked questions
Do you repair or replace?
Both. We repair wherever it makes sense and tell you honestly when a unit is not worth it; where replacement is better, we supply a refurbished unit.

Turnaround is agreed up front, with advance replacement available when you cannot wait.
What warranty comes with a repair?
Returned warrantied to manufacturer standards, with a test report.
Which manufacturers do you support?
Multi-vendor across optical, IP, RAN and power, including platforms the OEM has discontinued.
Can you handle bulk repairs?
Yes, we screen and triage bulk returns so you only pay to repair what is actually faulty.
